Valencia, November on 25th-27th: International Fair for Energy Efficiency and Technology Innovation In Renewable and Conventional Energies
Energy is the driving force of the world economy. How it is obtained and its subsequent application is an issue that goes beyond the problems of one specific sector and affects the whole of the economy. As revealed in the UN´s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) held in November 2007 in Valencia, this matter is also intrinsically related to environmental issues.
EGETICA, INTERNATIONAL FAIR OF ENERGETIC EFFICIENCY AND NEW TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS, is conceived as a response to this need. This is the first time an event specifically focused on energy efficiency has been held in Spain. Currently, there are many events devoted to energy internationally, however none of them addresses solutions in terms of energy efficiency. As such, EGÉTICA responds to this crucial and growing need in the sector. The goal of EGÉTICA is to help come up with market solutions to resolve energy issues, both through efficiency and the implementation of new technologies, viewing innovation as a key tool for business competitiveness. EGÉTICA receives the wholehearted support of major energy enterprises in Spain such as Iberdrola, Unión Fenosa, Acciona Energía, Endesa, Cepsa, Gas Natural and Repsol, forming part of the Organising Committee together with the Generalitat Valenciana. Concurrently with the backing of major Spanish enterprises, the active support of the Generalitat Valenciana regional government, through its Dept of Infraestructures and Transport is instrumental in providing the Valencian Community with this leading international event in energy.
EGÉTICA will comprise the following shows: the Sustained Production and Distribution Show; the New Technologies Show; the Efficiency in Construction Show and the Efficiency in Transport and Sustainable Mobility Show. Besides, EGÉTICA will be a forum for exchanging impressions on current energy problems. For this reason, a seminar with renowned international experts will be organised to discuss issues such as Energy and Climate Change, the Challenge of Efficiency, Innovation and Smart Energy, Consumption and Sustainability, Future Energies and Industrial Development, Energy and Environment.
EGÉTICA will be concurrently held with ECOFIRA. INTERNATIONAL FAIR FOR WATER, SOIL, AIR WASTES AND THEIR TECHNOLOGIES AND SERVICES. The synergies between both fairs will play to the benefit of a sector with huge potential for growth and which is increasingly to the fore in today´s society, which demands solutions to increasingly more pressing environmental challenges.
